Dominic Woodson is expected to enroll at Tennessee and begin classes on Thursday, sources told our own Gary Parrish.
To clear up some things on Dominic Woodson: I'm told the Memphis staff will tell the NCAA that Woodson's scholarship was not renewed. …— Gary Parrish (@GaryParrishCBS) August 21, 2014
… Consequently, it's reasonable to believe the NCAA will make Woodson eligible at Tennessee this season courtesy of a run-off waiver.— Gary Parrish (@GaryParrishCBS) August 21, 2014
The 6-foot-10 Texas native left Memphis last week after a freshman season in which he averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds. Woodson was suspended during the season for cursing -- something head coach Josh Pastner does not do or condone. He was also involved in a phyiscal altercation with a Memphis football player this summer.
Woodson, a four-star recruit coming out of high school, originally committed to Baylor before reopening his recruitment and pledging to the Tigers.
