- Post-Game
Thrilling game this evening as the Cougars and Aggies battled back and forth throughout. But in the end, timely shooting and athleticism got the job done for the lower seeded Aggies. This game marks the first time that a lower seed has won thus far in the the NCAA Tournament. Barring a 16-seed upsetting a #1, the Aggies will face the UCLA Bruins in the second round.
2 H - 14.7
Great drive and kick by Muhlbach, finding the open Dominique Kirk for the 3-pointer and proverbial nail-in-the-coffin. That should wrap up the victory for the Aggies.
2 H - 1:13
Sloan hits two big free throws in a one-and-one situation, extending the lead to six. Fredette hit a big three to answer though, keeping this a one possession game.
2 H - 2:51
The A&M lead is four points, the largest lead for either team in the second half. Kirk hit a three to make it four points, and became the first Aggie other than Carter to make a 3-pointer tonight.
2 H - 4:25
A&M's free throw shooting could be a major factor down the stretch, providing this game stays close. The Aggies are a dismal 5-of-13 shooting from the free throw line. Tavernari nails a three to again make this a one-point game. The Brazilian has a great stroke from behind the arc.
