Glog (Live Commentary)
End of Game -
I couldn't tell who he was talking to, but Rick Pitino was looking at one of his players when he said, "Cut the attitude, or you'll be dealing with me in the locker room." Pitino can't be too upset though, as his team forced turnover after turnover on its way to an easy win over a conference opponent. With the win, the Louisville Cardinals improve to 10-3 and the South Florida Bulls fall to 5-9. Thanks for joining us at CBS for live coverage of this game. Good Night!
2nd Half - 0:26
If USF would've played the whole game like this last minute, they could've probably won this game. Stan Heath subbed in the reserves which usually means the game has been conceded but the young freshman Bulls have come out strong. The Bulls have gone to a full-court press similar to the one the Cardinals used the entire second half and it is giving the Cardinals fits. The Bulls have forced two turnovers and scored six-straight before the Cards finally answer with an old-fashioned three-point play of their own.
2nd Half - 3:17
The road won't get any easier for USF, any time soon. Two of their next three contests are on the road against top 25 Big East teams (Pittsburgh and West Virginia). Louisville faces tough teams in Notre Dame and Pittsburgh as well, but those games are at least home games for the Cardinals.
2nd Half - 5:40
Louisville is starting to pull away in this game as the frustration becomes visible on the faces of the USF Bulls. The Cardinals have put consistent pressure on the Bulls this entire second half and you can tell its working since the Cards have extended their lead to 15 from seven at half; the Bulls have also turned the ball over 17 times.
2nd Half - 8:45
So much for being held scoreless, Terrence Williams gets on the board with a bang. Louisville's athletic third-leading scorer took a pass then beat his defender right down the middle of the lane before skying to the basket with a one-handed jam. Alex Rivas Sanchez made a halfhearted to block the shot, but even he knew there was no stopping Williams on that play.
