It was close throughout, but Gonzaga pulled away at the end to come away with the road win at Saint Mary's. Guard Matt Bouldin stayed hot all game, scoring a game-high 21. Star Austin Daye, on the other hand, never got it going tonight. While remaining close, this game was sloppy from the very start. Saint Mary's was able to use some early mistakes by the Zags to look like they were ready to steal the upset win. Diamon Simpson dominated for Saint Mary's, but it wasn't enough to give them the win.

Down by one, Saint Mary's tries to pass the ball in, but Wayne Hunter turns it over. That's a heartbreaker for Saint Mary's, who could have won it with a two-pointer. Pargo gets fouled early on the other end and sinks one of two. Saint Mary's tries for a prayer, but it doesn't go. Gonzaga is going to take this one 72-70.

Heytvelt gets fouled on the inbounds pass and sinks one of two to put the Bulldogs up by four. On the other end, Hughes puts up a wild three-pointer to try and draw the foul, but somehow makes the circus shot off the glass. The refs don't call the foul, but I have no idea why. Saint Mary's got completely screwed on that no-call.

Hughes hits a big three-pointer to bring the Gaels back within three. The deep ball has been clutch all night for Saint Mary's, seemingly coming when it's needed most.
2nd - 1:12
No one scores in three minutes, before Wayne Hunter knocks it away and takes it to the hoop for the easy lay-up. While the Gaels sit five back of Gonzaga, it seems like they are much much closer.
