Postgame -
If this tournament was typical, Missouri would be favored to win out and take the championship. But, the Big 12 series has been anything but normal, with upsets becoming the standard. That's the reason things look good for Baylor. The Bears soundly beat Nebraska on Wednesday, pulled off a stunner against top-seed Kansas today, and now only has a meeting with Texas tomorrow before a championship game possibly against the Tigers on Saturday.
2nd Half - 0:00
The final buzzer sounds at Ford Center in Oklahoma City, giving the Missouri Tigers an 81-60 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders. That was the result of a dominating effort in the second half where the Tigers scored 50 points to take control of a game that was tied at halftime.
2nd Half - 1:39
This has been a stellar effort all around for the Tigers. They're shooting well over 50 percent, arew winning the rebounding battle by five, and since halftime, have 12 assists against only three turnovers. Carroll leads the way with 19 points on 9-of-14 shooting while Lyons has nine points and nine rebounds.
2nd Half - 3:39
The Tigers are closing in on the win, the only top seed to avoid an upset today. As long as they hold on, they'll take on Oklahoma State tomorrow night. That game will come after a meeting between Baylor and Texas. The lead stands at more than 20 after Taylor makes a pair of free throws for the Missouri.
2nd Half - 5:35
Things have completely fallen apart for Texas Tech. Okurie gets called for his fifth foul and its the worst yet, when he shoves an opponent in the back for no other reason than out of frustration. He'll have to sit for the rest of the game, making the outcome all the more inevitable. Missouri is on command 67-48.
