| March Madness couldn't get much crazier than this, I love this stuff and can't seem to get enough!! The other top seeds won by a total of 99 points, but the Panthers made it interesting with a 10 point spread at the end. Keep coming back for more. Wade for MVP. |

| Kevin Tiggs, Courtney Pigram and Mighty Mike Smith blasted onto the National scene and almost left with a giant slice of history. An unfortunate 30% from the field and a miserable 12-24 from the line. The 16 seed falls again, but gave Jamie Dixon's Pittsburgh Panthers an obviously much needed wake up call. They will certainly get an earful on their off day, but should bounce back with purpose and continue to roll down the tracks. |

| The outcome was uncertain for 35 of the 40 minutes of round ball action, but even though it's all about the victory, Coach Murray Bartow's Buccaneers can't be too disappointed with their effort on the floor. While DeJuan Blair did the damage for 27 points and 17 rebounds, it was Sam Young with the other double-double with 14 and 11 of his own. They managed to overcome their 17 turnovers and will play another day against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday night. |

The perfect streak of success continues to a 99th straight game, with the top seed Panthers beating the 16th slotted Bucs. Final Score from Dayton Arena: ETSU Buccaneers 62 - Pittsburgh Panthers 72 for the opening round win. |

| A stupid foul from Blair, gives them a chance to chip away with the clock standing still. The pressure seemed to have gotten to them in the end, with Ashton Gibbs dropping a triple for the probable shot in the heart. Tiggs wastes no time getting back two, but it's still a 6 point separation with 65 seconds on the clock. |
