Glog (Live Commentary)
ORE 60 WSU 69 -
The 9th-ranked Cougars avoid the upset at home after a 12-1 run to close out the game. They finally beat the Ducks. they trailed for most of the game, but were able to pull it out when the game was on the line. Finally, after 14 tries, they have beat the Ducks to begin a new streak. Derrick Low had a brilliant game, scoring 27 points overall on 10-16 shooting. He was 4-9 from long distance. The Cougars shot 51% from the field and 36% from 3-point range. Turnovers are what killed the Ducks. they have 15 in the game, 8 more than Washington State. Oregon was led by Leunen who had a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Hairston had 14 and Porter put in 11. According to the stats I have, Oregon had only 4 assists in the entire game. Weird? They were 43% from the fied and also 36% from long distance. Next up for the Cougars is a trip to Arizona to take on the Wildcats on Thursday. Oregon will try to avoid its first 3-game losing streak this season on Thursday at home against UCLA.
ORE 59 WSU 66 -
It's over now. The Ducks miss a prayer of a triple and the Cougars will survive the Ducks and get their first win over Oregon in a very long time.
ORE 59 WSU 62 -
Nails them both and the lead is 5.
ORE 59 WSU 62 -
Taylor misses a relatively easy lay-up on a drive and Rochestie gets the rebound and fouled. He needs to be cool at the line again and put this game squarely in the Cougars favor.
ORE 59 WSU 62 -
Rochestie goes 2-2 from the chairty stripe after the foul and the Cougars lead by 3 points. They're on a 5-0 run. Do the Ducks go for a three here or take the easy 2?
