Final -
I'm not a fan of either of these schools, to be honest, but Hummel has made me a Boilermakers fan. This kid can ball -- and he's just a freshman. But give MSU credit for an amazing comeback, although they came up short. Izzo's troops did not fold after just 20 minutes.
2nd half -
The fans are chanting, "OVER-RATED!!!" That's always been a pet peeve of mine. They're on the road in conference play and they took you down to the final minute, outscoring you in the second half to climb back from a 16-point deficit. YOUR TEAM LOST TO THEM ALREADY! And you are going to chant, "OVER-RATED!"??? That's just not smart. Actually, that's just stupid.
2nd half -
The 23rd-ranked Boilermakers will beat the ninth-ranked Spartans.
2nd half -
Purdue breaks this game open on the strength of Moore and Hummel here in the final minute.
2nd half -
Hummel hammers home the dagger, with a loooong 3-pointer to put Purdue up by six! He missed the first meeting between these two teams because of the flu, but the 6-foot-8 freshman is making his presence known here tonight. He is having a career game with 22 points so far.
