Final -
Well, that was nothing like I predicted. I thought this one would be close. Instead, Wash State absolutely pulverized the Irish who had their lowest-scoring game ever under Mike Brey. Low, Weaver and Cowgill all end up in double digits but the defense led the way. They held the Irish to 24% shooting! That's insane. After the 20-point win, the Cougs will take on the winner of UNC vs. Arkansas coming up later tonight. I cannot believe how this game went.
2nd Half - 3:09
The fans who traveled from Washington are loving this one as the Cougs call for time and come to the bench to a standing ovation. This is not what I was expecting from this game.
2nd Half - 5:51
Fughetaboutdit. The Cougars will once again dominate their opponent en route to an easy victory. I can't believe the Irish are shooting only 26% from the field. Sure, most of their shots have been very highly contested, but the Irish are even missing their open looks. A bad showing from Notre Dame and a great one for Wash State.
2nd Half - 7:17
Wash State can't start thinking about their trip to Charlotte yet, but I can. I think they could give the Tar Heels (if they beat Arkansas) a tough time in Charlotte. Of course, it will be like a home game for the Heels.
2nd Half - 8:27
Low hits a triple and that prompts the Irish to call for time. It may be too late for damage control. They need to play a flawless final 8:35 to have even a prayer.
