Post Game -
Louisville played a great game, playing big on every possession on both sides of the floor. This win gave Pitino 14 straight victories over Tennessee basketball and make him 8-0 in the Sweet Sixteen. Both teams played their heart out, but Louisville was able to turn it up when it mattered most. The Cardinals caught the Vols out of position and even though they committed 19 turnovers, they were able to prevent the Vols from scoring on those opportunities. Bruce Pearl's Tennessee Volunteers got it within one point in the second, but a few fast breaks and turnovers later, they were again down by double digits. Louisville, though, may not make it past the next round, as they will facing UNC in Charlotte.
2nd Half - 3:46
This game may look ugly, but that is just what happens when two teams just plain sacrifice their bodies on every play. There would be no bad passes or bad shots without good defense.
2nd Half - 5:15
Lousiville is putting on a clinic. Chris Lofton has come alive in the second half and now has 12 points.
2nd Half - 8:38
JaJuan Smith was the reason the Vols got within one earlier but has been sitting out. They need to get him back in there. They are 3 for their last 13.
2nd Half - 11:29
Louisville just needs to win time of possession for the rest of this game and should be able to walk away with it.
