Glog (Live Commentary)
Postgame -
As for the Tar Heels, what a team. The way they played tonight has made me a believer. They will face a tough challenge, though, in the next round, especially if they face Rick Pitino's Cardinals.
Postgame -
Senior Derrick Low may make a good second-round draft pick and the Cougars have players to develop in order to take his place. This program has come a long way and had never even faced NC in its 100 year history until tonight. Although they will be losing Weaver and Low, I still anticipate them to be relevant next year.
Postgame -
Washington can hold their head high. They gave the best team in the country a fight for at least half of the first half. Once Carolina got up by a certain amount, it was just automatic.
2nd Half - 3:54
Maybe Roy Williams should consider letting his starters rest in preparation of the next game. I am not saying the Cougars are incapable of coming back from a 24 point deficit, but I am saying that they just can't do it in the alloted time.
2nd Half - 5:55
Hansbrough just showed why he will be only the fifth player to have his jersey retired in the Carolina rafters. He is just so graceful for his size and maintains complete control in the lane.
