| The Louisville Cardinals open up their season on an impressive note as they defeat the Morehead State Eagles 79-41. They ended the game by limiting the Eagles to 29% field goal shooting (18 for 62), 15% from three point land (3 for 19), and only two free throw attempts all game. For the Eagles, they held their own against the Cardinals for the first 14-plus minutes of the game before all of the rust was shaken off of the Cardinals and Cinderella's glass slipper became too hard to hold. Next for the Cardinals will be the winner of the Alabama State/Florida A&M game as the Billy Minardi Classic rolls on. |

You know that the agressive offense/defense nature will continue to come from the Cardinals. You can also give the Eagles lots of credit for continuing to play as hard as possible even as they are in the process of being blown out. |

You can definitely tell that the physicality of the game has taken its toll on the Eagles as they look like they have lost a step in their defensive efforts.
