2nd Half - 0:00
The Maryland Terrapins have defeated the Michigan State Spartans in a second-half rout 80-62. The Terrapins improves to 4-0 while the Spartans fall to 2-1. In addition, this loss marks the 7th consecutive time that a Big Ten team has lost in the Old Spice Classic.
2nd Half - 2:53
The game is mercifully coming to a close for the Spartans as they were beaten by the better team to this point. For the Terrapins, they came to play and did just that as they put a stop to Morgan in his tracks. For the Spartans, consider this a learning experience for the players.
2nd Half - 4:59
For Michigan State, they should look at this game as a wakeup call as they now trail Maryland by 18 points. With Morgan fouling out, the floor is relatively wide open for the Terps. Williams is beginning to pull the starters in favor of giving the reserves a chance to play.
2nd Half - 7:47
Michigan State is getting swarmed by an agressive Maryland defense as they call timeout. Maryland is enjoying their largest lead of the game at 15 points. You have to figure that MSU has to roll the dice and bring Morgan back in to stem the tide. Things would have been better if the Spartans hit most of their free throws as they are still shooting 50% from the line.
2nd Half - 11:59
Maryland has control of the game as we come to an official timeout. Since Morgan went out with his fourth foul for Michigan State, Maryland has been on a scoring tear as they now have an eight point lead. If your Michigan State, you have to wonder who is going to be the impact player as Suton is injured and Morgan has four fouls.
