Glog (Live Commentary)
2nd Half - 0:00
The final two minutes features both teams trading free-throw attempts, with Notre Dame making enough to stay in front. The clock winds down to all zeroes, giving the Fighting Irish a 73-67 win over the Hoyas. They were led by Harangody's 31 points on 11-of-19 shooting to go with 11 rebounds. He accomplished that despite being in foul trouble all game long.
2nd Half - 0:54
Georgetown entered its game against Pittsburgh on Saturday second in the country by holding opponents to 34.3 percent from the field. They allowed the Panthers to make 47.1 percent of their shots while the Irish are at 46.3 percent tonight. That explains Notre Dame's lead as the game nears a close. Tory Jackson keeps the Irish perfect from the line as well to get the lead to seven points.
2nd Half - 1:52
Georgetown is shooting only 60 percent (12-of-20) from the free throw line, which it might rue considering the big deficit. Notre Dame is still perfect (9-of-9) after Harangody makes a pair of free throws to keep the Irish in front 67-68.
2nd Half - 3:43
The Irish are working on a 43-game home win streak, which is unsurprising considering how intense the crowd is at Joyce Center. It goes wild when Harangody finds himself all alone underneath for a two-handed dunk. He now has 27 points and is one rebound short of a double-double. Notre Dame still holds the edge by nine points.
2nd Half - 4:12
Notre Dame suffered an upset loss to St. John's on Saturday, but has bounced back to hold a big lead tonight against No. 9 Georgetown. They've done it by regaining their outside shooting and behind another awesome game by Harangody. Although, McAlarney misses an open three here moments after Harangody had his shot blocked.
