Final -
The Duke Blue Devils invade Tallahassee Florida and come away with the 66-58 victory over a very game and defensively tough Florida State team. Both teams had problems scoring in the first half as defense was the name of the game but in the 2nd stanza, Duke was able to find its offense and keep up the defensive pressure while FSU went cold before starting a late comeback bid but by then the lead was too large for them to overcome.
2nd Half - 0:55
Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski will not be real happy about this victory as his team had trouble holding onto the ball all day long and their offensive plans were not smoothly run. For Florida State they made a very nice comeback but went cold at the wrong time in the 2nd half against a very solid Duke defense. They should be ending their drought of not making the tournament at the end of the year.
2nd Half - 1:23
Duke will have to make their free throws to close this one out, lucky for them that their starting five shoot nearly 80% from the line, so this may play right into their hands.
2nd Half - 3:58
If Florida State can get another run going here it will have to be real soon, Duke is controlling the clock now and the Seminoles cannot waste any offensive trips down the floor.
