| Syracuse got huge games from Eric Devendorf, 23 points, and Jonny Flynn, 25 points 11 assists. They really took over in the overtime period as Flynn took care of things from the free throw line, hitting 15 of 16 in the game and Devendorf hit some important outside shots. |

| For Georgetown this loss really hurts their chances to get into the NCAA tournament. They will have to have a big run in the Big East tourney to get some consideration. Chris Wright led the way with 25 points and Greg Monroe had a very quiet double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. |

| The Syracuse Orange are able to hold off Georgetown in overtime by the final score of 98-94. The Hoyas put up big numbers down the stretch to send the game to overtime but the big men for Syracuse, Eric Devendorf and Jonny Flynn, come through big for the Orange in the extra frame to propel their team to victory. |
