Glog (Live Commentary)
Postgame -
To say that there was no doubt about the outcome of this game in the 2nd half would not accurately portray the way things went down. Within 2 minutes of the start of the 2nd Pitt had their foot on the throat of DePaul and they did not let up. DePaul gave at run at Pitt early but winless conference teams don't have have a chance of beating the best team in the country.
2nd Half - 3:37
What was it that Kreese said in The Karate Kid, mercy is for the weak. That seems to be a similar opinion of Jamie Dixon. He has Blair in the game throwing down slam dunks when the game was theoretically over 15 minutes ago. Dixon is really trying for that 25 point win tonight.
2nd Half - 7:09
Quietly Tyrell Biggs is having a nice game tonight as well for the Panthers. Maybe he doesn't get the hype that some of the bigger names get but if Pitt can keep getting play like this out of him the rest of the way it would bode well for their future.
2nd Half - 11:41
Coming out of the break it appears that Pitt is going to show some mercy to the Blue Demons. They take Blair and Fields out of the game. It it not like it matters though. For starters they are winning by a ton, and secondly their reserves can score against DePaul as well.
2nd Half - 15:59
By the first TV timeout Pitt has doubled up their lead with a 12-2 run. DePaul played pretty well for most of the 1st half but the wheels have come off the wagon here. People who predicted a 25 point blowout look like they may be right on the money with that.
