The final score here was 62-58 Louisville. You have to give it to Marquette for not giving up. For a team playing without one of it's leaders, and as poorly as McNeal played, Marquette really played well, and fought hard. Louisville really played well too. They had 4 players in doubl figures, and Williams was a few rebounds and assists away from a triple double.
2nd - :20
Samuels was able to convert on 1 free throw, and now it's going to be tough for Marquette.
2nd - :22
Marquette just won't give up. They are down by 3 points after a Hayward 3 pointer. I believe Louisville is still in the 1 and 1, so a missed free throw and Marquette will have a chance to tie it.
2nd - :52
Acker had a good look at a 3, but it went in and out. Williams missed the front end of the 1 and 1, and now Matthews will be going to the line to try to cut into this 6 point lead.
2nd - 1:13
We have a minute and 13 seconds remaining, and the lead is at 6, after two T-Will free throws. A stop here for Louisville and that should just about do it.
