| Dexter Pittman followed up last night's career high 26 points, with another all-time best of 20 big ones off the glass. Blake Griffin numbers for the 6'10" 300 pound pivot man, and the two may face off in what would turn out to be a fantastic final here in OKC. Pittman was the only Longhorn in double-digits, but even Jacob Pullen out all the stops, they were left a little short with only 10 from Denis Clemente. Clint Chapman had a career high 9 points off the pine, but they will have to improve all around if they want to take the crown back home to the Lone Star State. | Clemente has a long look at the end, but it wasn't in the cards for the Kansas State Wildcats. Clint Chapman clamps down on the last rebound of the game and for some unapparent reason the game goes final, even with an obvious foul with at least two tenths left on the clock. Final Score: Kansas State Wildcats 58 - Texas Longhorns 61 for the quarter-final closeout. |

| Denis Clemente willed his last one into the rim, but comes up short off the front of the rim, leaving it in the air for Pittman to pull it down. 19 boards and 19 points for Dex, but Kansas State can still tie it with a three ball at the buzzer. A shot at the Big 12 Semi-Finals on the line. State with the ball and 8 seconds on the clock. This is what it's all about. |

| A career high 19 boards for Pittman and Barnes calls a time to try and draw up a winner at the end. Kansas State flusters Abrams and Ward to leave a shot on the floor and will have a chance to tie or win with the last shot of the game. 60-58, State with the rock and 23 ticks on the clock. |

| This game will ultimately be decided at the line, with Anderson dropping in two after missing almost all season long. The confidence of AJ Abrams to launch a long three from Ward, can be seen with him falling away to the other end, before the ball gets all the way through the rim. Abrams takes the handle for the last 90 seconds and clearly a heads up move from Barnes with 22 turnovers on the night. The Beast that is Dexter Pittman won't take no for an answer in the paint. 18 and 18 for Big Dex and that might be the edge that keeps the Wildcats at bay. 60-58, time running out for the Cats. |
