| Even though it was a 10 up against a 2 it didn't play like that. USC came to play but they fell short. Down the stretch in the final few minutes USC couldn't hit the big baskets that MIST did, simple as that. Now the Spartans will have a rematch against Kansas who they beat rather handily in January. |

| USC got the stop they needed but they couldn't convert on the other side. Hackett missed his attempt and with MIST pulling down the board that should do it the Trojan's hopes today. A couple of free throws and the Spartans will advance on to play Kansas in the Sweet 16. |

| USC has 2 good looks from beyond the arc but couldn't bury either. There was a lot of time left on the clock but it looked like USC never even entertained the thought of trying to drive to the hoop. They are going to be in a very difficult situation the rest of the way. they'll need to stop MIST and score and then hope for luck. |
