Glog (Live Commentary)
Spartans Crush Cardinals -
Thanks for sticking with me through the thick and the thin and now Connecticut awaits in Detroit, with Villanova anticipating the outcome of the game still to come. Stay on for the Sooners and the Tarheels, with Blake Griffin and Tyler Hansbrough going head on the biggest stage in the college basketball world. Wade for MVP.
Spartans Crush Cardinals -
Terrence picked the worst possible time to have his worst game in years, with only a single field goal in 7 tries from the floor. 6 boards and 4 assists, but nearly enough to turn the tide. A sub par 38% from the field and a -8 on the boards was simply too much to overcome. They only got 20 points from their bench, compared to 37 the game before.
Spartans Crush Cardinals -
Goran Suton had the game of his life, with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 helping hands. His tenacity on the offensive glass, helped the Spartans to 22 second chance points. Kalin Lucas ran a tight ship with 10 and 5 dimes, but it was the dynamic young duo of Durrell Summers and true freshman Draymond Green with 18 points and 13 boards off the bench that turned out to be the deciding factor in the end.
Spartans Crush Cardinals -
3/4 of the Final Four have checked in for the trip to Detroit, with the Big Ten Conference stopping the Big East streak of success. The Cardinals 13 game winning streak comes to a startling stop here in America's heartland, with the Spartans showing that they have some the biggest hearts in the game. Coach Tom Izzo took them to Title Town in 2004, and now has a chance to do it again with his 5th trip to Final Four round.
2nd Half - :00
The clock continues to roll away and the Spartans continue to control the offensive boards!! The Cardinal seem to have conceded defeat and the dream season gets shattered here in Indy!! The rookie Green continues to shine on the biggest stage of his young career with 6 points and 10 huge rebounds, mostly on the offensive end. Final Score: Louisville Cardinals 52 - Michigan State Spartans 64 with a ticket to the Final Four!!!
