The NBA Playoffs are just around the corner, so take a short break to catch your breath and climb back on board for the long hard journey to the big show's promised land. It's 40 games in 40 nights, with the NBA's best going all out to delight their fans. Wade for MVP.

March Madness carried over into Amazing April for the North Carolina Tarheels and for anyone who was lucky enough to join me along the way for the hard fought journey. Even though they had the weight of the world on their shoulder, they handled every opponent along the way by at least a dozen points and they go home to Carolina the Champions for the entire year.

While Detroit may have not been able to watch their hometown heroes hoist the hardware over their heads in high regard, they have to appreciate the benefit of having the Final Four leave a mark on their town. Times are tough all over the Nation, but Detroit has been atop the heap in unemployment for quite some time. At least they got a break from the real world and a chance to lose themselves in the most exciting game in the world. I love this game and now so should you.

The Spartans fell one win short of joining Arizona as the only team to beat three top seeds on the way to the Tourney Title, but Coach Izzo has to be anxious to regroup with almost the entire starting five returning next season. The Spartans lose their first tournament game ever when scoring at least 70 points, falling to 19-1 overall.

The seniors 124 career wins are the most by any class in the elite history of the University and their 5th NCAA title ties them with Indiana for the 3rd most All Time. But I have not been fair to the Spartans, who deserve their moment as second best in the end. Goran Suton delivered a double double 17 and 11 boards, but Lucas had only 14 points and 7 assists, with not much else on the offensive end. No interior defense and the crowd was taken out within the first few minutes on the floor.
