Clemson is off to a strong start again and has added two victories to its lengthy November winning streak.

While the 22nd-ranked Tigers might have trouble extending that run later this month, they will likely have few problems at winless UNC-Greensboro on Friday night.

Clemson has beaten its first two opponents by 83 points to improve to 28-0 in November since 2005-06.

The Tigers have won their first 10 games in each of the past four seasons and opened 16-0 in 2008-09, one win shy of the best start in program history in 2006-07.

Clemson has won each of its first two games by at least 40 and earned its most lopsided road victory in nearly 53 years Tuesday, 79-39 over Liberty.

David Potter went 5 of 6 from 3-point range en route to a career-high 17 points, and Trevor Booker had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

"My shot just felt good, even in warmups," Potter said. "It just felt good from the beginning, so I was just shooting."

Clemson hasn't won three straight by 40 or more since Dec. 16-29, 1986. While the Tigers might not match that feat, they should push their school-record non-conference road win streak to 11.

Clemson has limited its two opponents to 33.0 percent shooting and forced 55 turnovers. The Tigers have averaged 81.5 points, with three players in double figures.

Potter's 12.5 points per game lead the way, and Booker has averaged 11.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. Sophomore guard Tanner Smith has added 11.5 points a contest.

"(Potter is) one of the guys that we're looking to, and he's certainly delivered," coach Oliver Purnell said.

After facing the Spartans and hosting Winthrop on Monday night, Clemson will open the 76 Classic in Anaheim, Calif., against Texas A&M on Thanksgiving Day. The Tigers will face either No. 8 West Virginia or Long Beach State the following afternoon.

If they advance to the championship game Nov. 29, they could take on No. 11 Butler or No. 24 Minnesota.

Clemson will first face a UNC-Greensboro team that's lost by 47 points against two ACC opponents.

The Spartans opened with a 96-62 loss at No. 9 Duke on Nov. 13 and fell 59-46 at Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. UNC-Greensboro tied the Hokies at 38-all with 10:48 to play but committed turnovers on six of its next seven possessions.

"I thought maybe we got tired down the stretch," coach Mike Dement said.

Senior forward Ben Stywall leads the Spartans with 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Clemson hasn't faced UNC-Greensboro since an 88-62 win in the schools' first meeting Dec. 12, 1992.

For the first time, the Spartans will play their home games at Greensboro Coliseum, site of this season's ACC tournament.
