Rautins, who missed all six shots he attempted and then rolled his left ankle in the season opener, found his range early against the Colonials (0-1). He hit a 3 from the left corner and another from the right wing to help Syracuse take a 10-6 lead in the first five minutes. He made three more 3s in the first 3:09 of the second half to give Syracuse a 71-36 advantage.
Rautins finished 7 of 10 on 3-pointers, just shy of the school record of nine 3s he shares with Gerry McNamara.
