HOUSTON (AP) Justin Wilson's 3-pointer with less than two minutes left gave Texas Southern the lead for good in a 63-57 victory over Chicago State on Wednesday.
Texas Southern trailed 35-25 at halftime but used an 11-0 run to force a tie at 53 with 3:15 left.
Wilson hit the 3-pointer with 1:43 remaining to give the Tigers a 58-55 lead. Texas Southern went on to score five of the last seven points.
Mike Sneed led Texas Southern (1-1) with 16 points, while Wilson and Raymond Warner had 10 apiece.
Tony Weeden had 24 points for Chicago State (0-2), while Royce Parran added 14.
