BOSTON -- Chaz Carr scored 19 points and Matt Wolff added 17 as
Boston U. (1-1) blew most of a 22-point lead late in the second half but held on for the win.
Down 49-27 midway through the second half, Fordham (1-1) responded with a 22-6 that brought the Rams within 55-49 with 6:23 left. The Terriers pulled back ahead, 60-51, and Shaun Wynn followed a Fordham offensive foul with a 3-pointer with 1:30 left to put the game out of reach.
Boston University opened the game with a 10-0 run, and the Rams never got closer than six points the rest of the first half. Carr led the Terriers with four 3-pointers as the Terriers pushed its lead to 30-15. He then followed a Fordham 3-pointer with a pair of baskets as BU took a 38-22 lead into halftime.
Carr scored 18 of his 19 points in the first half.
Wolff hit a 3-pointer with 13:45 left to give the Terriers a 22-point lead.
Bryant Dunston led the Rams with 14 points and Anderson added 13 points. Wolff also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists for the Terriers.
