BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) Darrel Mitchell scored 20 points to lead LSU to a 95-79 win over New Orleans Wednesday night and Tigers head coach John Brady was ejected for the first time this season.
LSU (3-0) scored the first nine points of the game and held a commanding 31-13 lead midway through the first half. Holding the Privateers without a field goal for nearly six minutes, the Tigers' lead ballooned to 48-21 with under three minutes left in the first half. The LSU lead never fell below 13 in the second half.
Tigers head coach John Brady was ejected with 8:53 left in the second half after receiving two technical fouls for arguing a foul call. It was Brady's first ejection of the season and first since a 102-70 loss at Florida in 2002.
Antonio Hudson added 18 points for the Tigers. Glenn Davis had 16 points and five rebounds and Brandon Bass had 15 points. Tack Minor had 10 points and 10 assists for his first double-double of the season.
Bo McCalebb led the Privateers (1-3) with a game-high 35 points. Bo Elias had 14 points and Shawn Malloy and Chad Barnes added 11 each.
