SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP)_ Blake Ahearn came off the bench to score 17 points and lead Southwest Missouri State to a 64-51 win over the University of Arkansas-Little Rock in capturing the championship of the Price Cutter Classic on Saturday night.
Ahearn, named the tournament's MVP, made three 3-pointers for Southwest Missouri (4-1).
Arkansas-Little Rock (3-3), meanwhile, shot only 31 percent from the field and just 20 percent in the first half.
Arkansas-Little Rock trailed 30-23 with 14:23 left before Southwest Missouri went on a 8-0 run to push its lead to 38-23 at the 11:59 mark.
Arkansas-Little Rock was unable to cut into the lead and Southwest Missouri used another 9-0 run to go up a 54-33 with 6:15 left.
Columbus Willis and Zack Graber led Arkansas-Little Rock with 11 points each.
