HAMPTON, Va. (AP) Antonio Webb scored 20 points and Bethune-Cookman shot 70 percent from the floor in the second half to rally for a 79-78 victory over Hampton on Saturday night.
After shooting just 41 percent in the first half, Bethune-Cookman (3-1, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) hit 16 of 23 shots in the final 20 minutes. Hampton (1-4, 0-1 MEAC) led 44-33 at halftime but was outscored by 12 in the second half.
Michael Williams II and Diondre Larmond scored 14 points apiece for Bethune-Cookman, which shot 53 percent for the game.
Brandon Streeter and Rashad West came off the bench to score 20 and 19 points, respectively, for the Pirates. Streeter and West combined to hit 16 of 23 field goal attempts while the rest of the team went 15-of-45.
Bruce Brown scored 15 points and Devin Green 13 for Hampton.
