DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Rashad Bell had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead Boston University over New Hampshire 65-52 on Saturday.
New Hampshire (4-2, 0-1) scored the first seven points in the see-saw match, but the Terriers outscored the Wildcats over an eight-minute period late in the first half to take a 36-24 lead into halftime.
The Wildcats opened the second half with 11 unanswered points and took a 42-41 lead with 10:50 remaining. But the Terriers went on a 17-3 run over the next six and a half minutes to take control of the game.
The Terriers out-rebounded the Wildcats 46-36, grabbing 16 boards on the offensive end. Both teams gave the ball away. New Hampshire committed 20 turnovers and Boston U. (4-1, 1-0) committed 17.
Etiene Brower scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked five shots for Boston University. Craig Walls and Blagoj Janev led New Hampshire, each contributing 11 points and nine rebounds.
