JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) Tony Mitchell scored 21 points, all in the second half, to lead the College of Charleston to a 79-72 win over East Tennessee State on Saturday.
Charleston (3-1, 1-0) went was down 66-65 with just 4:36 left in the game before reeling off a 14-0 run to take the lead for good.
In the second half, Mitchell was on fire, hitting five of 10 from 3-point range.
Four Charleston players scored in double figures. Along with Mitchell, Stanley Jackson collected 13 points, while Bernard Jackson and Jeff Horowitz added 12 apiece.
ETSU got a team-high 15 points from Tim Smith, who also picked up his third career double-double with 10 rebounds.
Smith was joined in double figures by Brad Nuckles' 14 points and 12 points each from Ben Rhoda and Dillion Sneed.
