EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) Vedran Vukusic and Mohamed Hachad each scored 18 points Saturday night to lead Northwestern to a 78-53 victory over Chicago State.
After trailing 8-1, T.J. Parker hit a 3-pointer for Northwestern (2-4), which started a 28-6 Northwestern run. Vukusic hit a pair of free throws and then hit a 3 to give the Wildcats a 29-14 lead with 6:36 left in the half.
Parker scored 14 points and had five assists for Northwestern, which shot 60 percent in the first half and lead the entire second half.
Chicago State was only able to get as close as 17 points.
Royce Parran led the Cougars with 17 points. Chicago State (0-4) is 0-24 all-time against Big 10 schools. Northwestern has beat them six times.
