PEORIA, Ill. (AP) Marcellus Sommerville scored 18 points to lead Bradley to a 63-53 victory over DePaul on Saturday.
The Braves (4-1) took a 32-26 halftime lead as they held the Blue Demons (3-2) to 29 percent shooting from the field, while hitting about 56 percent of their own shots.
Although their shooting percentage fell off in the second half, Bradley was able to remain in control of the game as DePaul failed to improve.
Patrick O'Bryant and Tony Bennett scored 11 points each for the Braves, and Jeremy Crouch added 10.
Quemont Greer led the Blue Demons with a game-high 22 points. He also had eight rebounds, one block and one steal. LeVar Seals had 10 points and seven rebounds.
