NEW YORK (AP) James Williams scored 27 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead LIU past Wagner 93-73 on Saturday.
Kellen Allen had 16 points for the Blackbirds (2-2, 1-0 Northeast Conference). Williams made 7-of-8 from behind the arc for LIU, which shot 60 percent.
DeEarnest McLemore had 19 points and Mark Porter 18 for the Seahawks (1-4, 0-1), who trailed 42-24 at halftime.
Wagner pulled to 58-50 on Joe Mundweiler's three free throws with 11:34 left, but got no closer. Williams then hit two 3s in an 8-0 LIU run to lead 66-50.
