DAVIS, Calif. (AP) -- DeJuan Stevens had 22 points and eight rebounds, and Kyle Feurerbach added a career-high 21 points to help Northern Arizona beat UC Davis 69-64 Saturday night.
Stevens, a junior college transfer from Los Angeles, scored 10 points during a 15-0 first-half run by the Lumberjacks (4-3). Northern Arizona then made 54 percent of its shots in the second half.
Rommel Marentez had 19 points and Fowzi Abdelsamad added 16 for UC Davis (2-2), in the second season of its four-year reclassification move to Division I competition.
Marentez, who scored 16 points in the second half, cut Northern Arizona's lead 52-46 on a 3-pointer with six minutes left, but Feurerbach got a four-point play and a 3-pointer on the Lumberjacks' next two possessions.
