CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) -- Mike Nelke hit a last-second 3-point shot to give Southeast Missouri State a 59-58 win over South Dakota State on Saturday night.
South Dakota State (1-5) led 31-28 at halftime and maintained a narrow lead throughout the second half behind 19 points by Michael Loney and Joe Green with 10.
Terrick Willoughby led Southeast Missouri (2-3) with 15 points and Brett Hale added 10.
Nelke's game-winning shot was his only basket of the game.
