MISSOULA (AP) -- Senior guard Doron Perkins scored 23 points and grabbed five rebounds Saturday to lead Santa Clara in a 77-75 victory over Montana.
The Grizzlies (2-3), who were down by as much as 15 points in the first half, came back in the second half to tie the game at 75 with 30 seconds left to play. However, a turnover on their next-to-last possession sealed the victory for the Broncos (6-2).
Junior guard Kevin Criswell led the Grizzlies with 17 points and Kamarr Davis dominated on the boards with 11 rebounds. Sophomore Matt Dlouhy also had a strong showing with 15 points and six rebounds.
It was the first home defeat for the Grizzlies this season and ended a two-game winning streak.
