LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) -- Tiras Wade scored 20 points and Orien Greene added 14 as Louisiana-Lafayette beat St. Mary's of Texas 79-63 on Saturday.
Lafayette (3-3) took a 44-27 halftime lead after hitting 16-of-26, or 61.5 percent, from the floor. The Cajuns held St. Mary's (5-3) to 42 percent from the field before the half.
St. Mary's turned the ball over 20 times in the game, to 15 for the Cajuns. Each team finished with 28 rebounds
Dwayne Mitchell scored 10 points and led the Cajuns with six rebounds. Greene had four assists.
Henry Hernandez led St. Mary's with 17 points and had 12 rebounds and five assists. Bill White scored 14 points.
