DENTON, Texas (AP) Corey Santee scored 18 and Nile Murry had 14 to lead TCU to an 88-78 victory over North Texas on Saturday night.
TCU (5-2) trailed 38-37 at halftime before shooting 63 percent in the second half to 37 percent for North Texas (3-2).
Chudi Chinweze had 13 points, Femi Ibikunle had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Aaron Curtis added 10 points for TCU.
Leonard Hopkins led UNT with 21 points, but he did it on 7-of-21 shooting. He was 1-of-7 on 3-pointers and also lost four turnovers. Calvin Watson added 14 points for the Mean Green, Isaac Hines had 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, and Ron Harris had 10 points.
William Quincy grabbed 13 rebounds for North Texas, which held a 49-41 rebounding advantage.
The Horned Frogs shot 53 percent for the game, while North Texas shot 39 percent.
TCU hit hit 53 percent of its 3-pointers, including 4-of-5 by Murry.
