Oregon 75, Vanderbilt 65

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Ian Crosswhite had 16 points and 11 rebounds to give Oregon a 75-65 victory over Vanderbilt Saturday in the annual Pape Jam at the Rose Garden Arena.

Jordan Kent, coach Ernie Kent's son, had a key 3-pointer that made it 64-50 and capped a 21-8 Oregon run as Vanderbilt went cold.

Aaron Brooks had 11 points and Brandon Lincoln added 10 more for Oregon, now 4-0 for the season and 7-0 in the Pape Jam.

Julian Terrell and Mario Moore each had 14 points for Vanderbilt (4-3), which came to Portland for the inaugural Pape Jam in 1998 and lost to the Ducks 90-70.

Moore, a junior guard, has scored in double figures in 13 straight games.

The Ducks held a narrow 38-35 lead at the half. The Commodores narrowed it to 43-42 early in the second on DeMarre Carroll's layup and free throw.

But then the Ducks took over. Kent's dunk made it 59-50 and he was awarded with a standing ovation by the fans.

After Bryce Taylor's layup, Kent got his 3-pointer, jumping up and down in celebration when it fell. Kent finished with nine points for Oregon.

Oregon, which travels to No. 5 Illinois next Saturday, has held all four of its opponents this season to under 40 percent shooting from the field. The Commodores shot 39.1 percent.

The Ducks play their usual home games at MacArthur Court in Eugene, about 110 miles to the south.
