CHICAGO (AP) Chris Hill scored 18 points to lead Wisconsin-Milwaukee to a 75-67 victory over Illinois-Chicago in the opening of Horizon League play Saturday.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (5-0, 1-0) and Illinois-Chicago (2-3, 0-1) were evenly matched through most of the game, with the visitors taking a 37-36 lead at the half. The lead changed seven times before Wisconsin-Milwaukee gained the upper hand near the end.
Joah Tucker scored 17 points for Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Adrian Tigert scored 15 and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Boo Davis added 10.
Illinois-Chicago was led by Cedrick Banks' 16 points, with Armond Williams scoring 12, and Karl White adding 11.
