NORMAL, Ill (AP) Lorenzo Gordon scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Illinois State to a 75-62 victory over Alcorn State Tuesday.
Guards Gregg Alexander, Vince Greene and Trey Guidry each also scored in the double-digits for the Redbirds (6-2).
Illinois State was up 34-22 against Alcorn State (1-6) at the half but only outscored the Braves 41-40 in the second, hitting just 2-of-8 3-pointers.
Guard DeAndre Jones was the only player to score in the double-digits for the Braves with 11 points. Almaad Jackson and Alleo Frazier came off the bench and led the team with 11 rebounds and four assists respectively.
