NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Toney Douglas scored 17 points to lead Auburn to a 76-61 victory over the College of Charleston on Tuesday night.
Daniel Hayles and Quinnel Brown added 14 points each for the Tigers (6-2), who snapped a two-game losing streak with the win.
Auburn used a 15-2 run over the final 4:50 of the first half to take a 34-24 lead at halftime, and the Cougars (3-2) never threatened in the final 20 minutes.
Stanley Jackson scored 16 points and Dontaye Draped added 12 for Charleston, which shot 0-for-13 from behind the arc. The Cougars shot just 39 percent from the field.
The undersized Tigers held a 46-29 edge in rebounding and Brown and Nathan Watson had 10 rebounds apiece.
Auburn, which lost to Wofford 85-78 on Sunday, avoided a second straight loss to a Southern Conference team.
The game was delayed for several minutes in the second half because the floor, which had ice underneath it, became slippery.
