JACKSON, Miss. (AP) Paul Millsaps' 16 points helped Louisiana Tech cruise to a 75-61 victory over Jackson State Tuesday night.
Millsaps led his team, but five other players had double figures for Louisiana Tech (3-3). The team shot 66 percent from the floor in the first half and led 37-32.
Louisiana Tech's 44 rebounds almost doubled Jackson State's 24.
Tech built its biggest lead - 68-50 - late in the game on a Millsaps basket.
Corey Dean added 15 points, Deavon Haskins and Wayne Powell had 12 each, and Donell Allick had 10 for the Bulldogs, which shot 59 percent for the game.
Jackson State (1-7) got a game high 22 points from Charlie White.
Hilton Tompkins finished with 12 and Kelly Ross had 10.
Jackson State could manage only 37 percent field goal shooting.
