TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) Keith Triplett scored 28 points and Florentino Valenica added 18 to rally Toledo to a 83-75 victory over Nevada Tuesday night to get its first win of the season.
The Rockets (1-3) trailed for much of the second half before taking the lead for good on Sammy Villegas' 3-pointer with 7:06 left. Kyle Shiloh hit a 3-pointer for Nevada (4-2) with 2:03 left to bring the Wolfpack to within 76-75, but the Rockets scored the final seven points of the game.
Triplett hit 10 of 17 shots from the field and all eight of his free throw attempts. Valencia was 7 of 11 from the field.
Kevinn Pinkney hit 8 of 12 from the field and 9 of 10 from the foul line for 25 points for the Wolfpack, including seven points as Nevada opened the game with a 21-8 run.
The Rockets responded with an 18-2 run in which Triplett scored 11 points to give Toledo a 28-23 lead.
The Wolfpack led by as many as six points in the second half.
Nick Fazekas had 12 points and Shiloh finished with 11 for Nevada.
Villegas scored 13 for Toledo.
