LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) Kiah Thomas scored 15 points to lead four Monarchs in double figures as Old Dominion defeated Liberty 70-54 on Tuesday night.
Valdas Vasylius came off the Monarchs' bench to score 14 points, hitting 10 of 12 free throws. Arnaud Dahi had 11 and Alex Loughton added 10 for Old Dominion (7-2).
Larry Blair scored 31 points for the Flames (1-4) and David Dees had eight.
Old Dominion built a lead of 10 with 3:07 left in the first half, but the Flames narrowed the margin to 35-31 at intermission.
The Monarchs went ahead for good at 45-45 on Dahi's free throw with 11:54 left in the game.
Old Dominion outrebounded Liberty 38 to 27.
