NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) Richard Hardman's 18 points paced Arkansas-Little Rock to a 70-53 victory Tuesday night over Southern Illinois.
UALR (4-3) led 34-25 at the half, and SIU (4-2) went cold after intermission, hitting only 38 percent of its shots from the field after making 52 percent during the first half.
In the meantime, the Trojans raised their 58 percent shooting rate of the first half to 63 percent in the second.
Hardman was one of only three players in the game to score in double digits. Zack Wright added 12 for the Trojans, while Jamaal Tatum, with 11 points, was the lone Saluki to make it into the double-digit category.
SIU was also cold at the free-throw line, making just 3 of 9 foul shots, while UALR put in 82 percent of its shots from the line - 14 of 17.
