DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Darryl Peterson scored 21 points to lead Akron to a 81-70 win over Wright State on Saturday.

Rick McFadden came off the bench to score 14 points for the Zips (5-2). Jeremiah Wood and Dru Joyce added 12 points each. Romeo Travis grabbed 11 rebounds.

Akron finished with a 15-2 advantage in second chance points. Wright State had a 20-16 edge on points in the paint.

DaShaun Wood scored 29 points for Wright State (4-4). Zakee Boyd had 14 and Drew Burleson added 10.

Akron led 27-24 at the half.
