YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) -- Eastern Michigan's Markus Austin scored 13 of his game-high 25 points in the second half to lead the Eagles to an 86-72 win over Canisius on Saturday night.
Eastern's Danny McElhinny set the pace in the first half by scoring 18 of his career-high 20 points on six 3-pointers.
Canisius had a 58-57 lead with just over nine minutes remaining, but the Eagles went on a 16-4 run to give Eastern a 73-62 lead with 2:22 to play.
Kevin Downey led four Canisius (1-4) players in double figures with 16 points.
Eastern (5-1) led 40-34 at the half.
McElhinny made six of his eight 3-point attempts and scored 18 points in the first half.
James Jackson finished with 13 points and Michael Ross added 11.
