NEW YORK (AP) -- Freshman Bryant Dunston scored 24 points and Fordham used a 31-0 run to beat Fairfield 84-68 on Saturday.
The Rams (3-3) closed the first half with a 22-0 run to take a 46-19 lead, then scored the first nine points of the second half, six by Jermaine Anderson.
Marcus Stout added 14 points for Fordham while Anderson had 11 and Kevin Anderson 10. Michael Bell had 18 points to lead the Stags (4-4) while Terrence Todd added 11.
Fordham shot 54 percent and the Stags shot 36 percent. The Rams finished with a 44-29 rebound advantage, with Dunston leading the way with nine.
Dunston had six points in the run to close the half. After the run to open the second half gave Fordham a 57-19 lead with 16:48 to play, the closest Fairfield got was 84-66 with a minute to play.
